It's funny how things turn out.

March 4th, 2010 was easily the best day of my life. On this day at 9:29 PM, I got to meet my baby girl for the first time. Weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long, she was absolutely perfect. I couldn't help but to smile and cry when the doctor laid her on my chest for the very first time. As I looked in to her little eyes I thought to myself: this is what love is.

Lets rewind to April 23rd, 2005. I was at the skating rink with my best friend, Heather. We never skated, just preferred to walk around and look at all the boys. (We were only 14.) While watching everyone skate, a certain someone caught me eye. I told Heather about my discovery and she dared me to yell and tell him I thought he was cute... So I did. Two minutes later he skated up to me and later on that night asked me out. We dated for a whole 4 1/2 months before having a totally devastating breakup. ;)

In May of 2006 while at the hospital with my mom who had just given birth to my little sister, Brian called and asked me to go to his prom with him. I was beyond happy. I had always remembered the summer we went out as the best summer of my life, still do. Anyway I said yes and had 3 days to try to get a dress to wear. Finally the day of the dance arrived, Brian and his Grandpa picked me up and we went to the prom. It was fun... but a little awkward since it had been 8 months since we had last talked. When Brian took me home that night I honestly thought we were going to get back together... I finally heard from Brian, he said that someone told him I was hanging out with other guys and that it wasn't going to work. Again, I was devastated. I moved on.

In July of 2006 I started dating a guy named Nate. Nate and Brian went to the same school. A few months later I found out through Nate that Brian's girlfriend had a baby.... That's the reason he didn't want to talk after prom, he found out she was pregnant. Again my heart was broke.... He was 17! I thought about him all the time, Heather and I recalled that summer almost every night on the phone. December 2008 Nate and I broke up.

February 2009 I was with Heather and my friend Adam going to see Twilight for the millionth time. We had a little time to kill before the movie started to we decided to go to Wal-Mart and walk around. While at Wal-Mart Heather and I spot Brian, of all people. We started talking to him and we exchange numbers. We started talking and hanging out. Brian now has 2 kids. Seth who is 2 1/2 and Paige whole is 9 months. That doesn't bother me though, I love kids. On March 17th, 2009 Brian asked me out. A very short time after that we moved in to my mom's house together (I was 18) and then in July we got our own place. Late August was when I found out I was pregnant. I was so excited.

Now, Seth is 3 1/2 Paige will be 2 next month and Kayelynn is 8 weeks old today. We have the perfect little family and I couldn't be happier. It's just so funny how things work out. I never in a million years would have thought that I was going to be engaged to Brian and have a child with him.
