Car seat.

So I think I may have told this story a couple months ago, but I'm going to tell it again because it goes along with the theme of this post, which is: Kayelynn will be turning 1 in -4- days, and I am not turning her car seat to face forward. (She doesn't weight enough anyway.)

At Kayelynn's 9 month well child check she was scheduled to see her regular doctor. The doctors office called a couple days before and said that a pediatrician from some other doctors office or something was going to be at Kayelynn's doctor and they wanted to know if it was okay if they switched her appointment so that she could see him. (Kayelynn normally just sees one of the regular family doctors.) I said yea that would be fine. Well we go to see him and I just didn't like him. Honestly he was just getting on my nerves the whole time. (Plus I had Seth and Paige with me. It is not easy to have a 9 month old, a 2 year old, and a 4 year old confined to a little room all by yourself.) So anyway I thought she was supposed to be getting some shots. He named the ones she got at her last appointment and was like "The only one she has to get is her 3rd something shot." I don't remember which one it was. Anyway I knew she had gotten it at her last appointment. FINALLY after 10 minutes he went to see if they had her shot record written down somewhere other than just documented in the computer. (That pissed me off because not only did it take an unnecessary amount of time for him to listen to me they should have all of that checked and then checked again so that they don't make these mistakes.) He came back and sure enough I was right. So, if I wouldn't have been paying attention at her 6 month appointment she would have gotten a shot that she didn't need/had already gotten last time. I was so mad!

So after he determined that she didn't need any shots or anything we're getting ready to go and he's like "I see she's going to be one soon, you could probably go ahead and face her car seat the other way." He then flips to her weight and then says "Oh wait, she only weighs 15 pound, can't turn her around yet." REALLY. Not only do the laws state that a child has to be 1 year old AND weigh 20 pounds, doctors should not advise their patients to turn a child around 3 months early anyway! I am still mad about this. I don't think even if a child meets the requirements a doctor should advise parents to switch them around. They should let them know their options, yes, but they should also inform parents that it is best to wait until your child outgrows the weight and height restrictions on the car seat.

I know so many girls who turn their children around at 8 or 9 months because their doctor tells them that they weigh enough. HELLO?!? Their weight has nothing to do with the fact that their neck muscles are not strong enough to with-stand a car crash if in a forward facing car seat.

So, Kayelynn will be turning one in 4 days and she will continue to be rear facing until she outgrows her carseat while it's rear facing. (Which could be a while because the weight restriction is 30 pounds and she only weighs 18 now.)

Rant over now.

50th post!!

I feel like I should have way more posts, especially since it's been about a year since I started my blog... That's like not even one post a week. Boo to me. I'm trying to get better at it.

So last night I woke up to the worst lightning EVER. It was flashing every 5 seconds and was super bright. It woke me up. :( I hate storms. They scare me to death. Okay, bad storms scare me to death. If it's just a little thunderstorm or whatever I'm fine. But when you add in the 60 mph winds, the hail, lightning, and huge thunder from last night I was scared to death! The sirens were going off (At this point it was around 5am) So I called my mom because we don't have cable and our internet was out due to the storm. (My mom is scared of storms too, that's where I get it from so she was awake keeping an eye on it.) The whole Tri-State area was under a tornado watch plus we had a sever thunderstorm warning and that's why the sirens were going off.

That makes me so angry. No ones going to know if there's really a tornado. So any way I looked outside and there was a huge tree branch down like touching my house, plus littler tree branches everywhere. So, I made the kids a bed on my floor and set up the Pack n' play for Kayelynn and brought them downstairs to sleep. Just in case 1) A tree fell on our house and landed on them and 2) In case there really was a tornado. That way I wouldn't have to run upstairs to get 3 kids.

After I brought them downstairs Kayelynn thought it was play time. So I was up with her until 6:30. By then the storm had quieted down a lot so I put her back upstairs in her bed and she went right to sleep. (I love love love that she sleeps so good in her crib, but it kind of stinks because that is the only place she will drink her cup. And I hate that. I don't like putting her to bed with her cup but I want her to drink her formula too. BUT as soon as this last can of formula is gone we are going to be switching her to milk full time and she will be going to bed without her cup! Yay.)

Seth and Paige are still asleep on my floor.... It's 11:15. Kayelynn is in the kitchen throwing her fruit loops on the floor. Sigh.

No motivation.

I have no motivation. Not to clean my house, not to work out, not to do anything. I think it's because we had those few days of really nice warm weather, and now it's back in the 40's and raining all the time. Gross.

I need to work out. I know I said I was doing the 30 Day Shred, but I'm thinking that since I skipped out on it for the past 2 days that I'm going to restart. If I am on day 15 and then I skip a day I'm punishing myself and restarting the whole thing. Hopefully when the weather starts getting nice I will have motivation to maybe go for runs or something. Heck, at least when it's warm I can go to the park and walk around the trail.

This gross weather can go away any tome now.

Pictures.

All I wanted was a kiss and she got all pissed off. Lol.

Look where I can climb, Mom.
"I don't know why you have to be trying to lick me in every picture you post of us on here, Mom."

I've had enough.

When I got pregnant I weighed between 130 and 135. When I was 36 weeks pregnant (How far along I was when I had Kayelynn) I weighed 144. After I had Kayelynn I weighed 117. Now... Now I weigh 145. How in the hell. I contribute most of this gain from being stuck in the house last summer with the 3 kids. I couldn't take all 3 of them out much by myself when Kayelynn was first born. The other part I contribute this weight gain to is pure laziness and no will power at all.. But this is about to change!!

I have been working out non-religiously for a couple of months. I have Active 2 for the PS3 and I do about 30 minutes 4 times a day, sometimes more. I have lost 5 pounds, and I defiantly feel better. I don't get out of breath in the first 3 minutes of my work out now, and I can feel that I'm stronger.

My problem with working out though is that if I don't start seeing actual weight loss results I give up. I lose my motivation. I know, realistically I will never see super fast results. I know these things take time. Especially when I am exercising alone. (No dieting included.) I wish I had a gym membership, I would be so much more willing to lose weight if I could swim and use the machines and stuff... But I don't have one.

So, starting today I am going to try to eat better. (i.e. not eating out as much, no snacking, no eating after 8pm, drinking more water.) I am also going to start the 30 Day Shred. I bought it a few days ago and tried it... it's intense! But Brian was home and I felt silly working out in front of him. But since he works 5 days a week I figure I can do my Shred while he's at work and then when he's home I can hurry and do it when he's in the shower or something. (The workouts are less than a half an hour.)

I'm going to keep measurements and keep track of my weight, I'm just not going to post the measurements on here for now. I'll probably do a weekly post or something with my (hopefully) lose each week, and I will post them then... Maybe that will give me some extra motivation, knowing that people can see my weight and stuff. :)

EDITED TO ADD:: I had gotten asked in a comment about when our previous wedding date was, and since I am obviously HORRIBLE at commenting back I'm going to answer that here. Our previous wedding date was set to be 3-17-2012. We picked that date because that will be our 3 year anniversary and it just so happens to fall on a Saturday. I however, do not want to wait that long. Seriously if Brian would agree to just go to the court house right now and get hitched I would. Brian, on the other hand, wants an actual wedding. So we decided that we would compromise and move the wedding up some and then have a small little wedding in our soon to be new back yard with a few people.

I don't want a big huge wedding. My mom's side of the family and my dad's side of the family do not get along. They couldn't even put their differences aside for Kayelynn's hour long first birthday party, so I'm not even going to expect them to be civil through a wedding. Also, I feel like the money spent on a huge wedding would be better off spent on something for the kids. Even if we only spent 500 dollars, I would much rather buy the kids a swing set.

So, we are going to have a small little wedding with a few family members and close friends, and then go on our honeymoon to the Bahama's (I hope.) I did some research and we are wanting to get married Saturday September 10th, 2011. There is a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas that cost around 1200 dollars. If we could save up some money (Plus hopefully have some help from some family) that would be awesome. I know I just said that I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a wedding blah blah... But Brian and I deserve a nice honeymoon. I literally haven't done anything (and neither has Brian) away from kids in the 2 years we have been together.

So, I would def. splurge on a trip to the Bahama's for 3 days. If we do that we would be driving to Florida or South Caroline, wherever the Cruise leaves from. We would probably leave 2 days early (It's about a 21 hour drive to Florida) that way we could sleepover somewhere instead of driving straight through for that long. Then we would go on the cruise for 3 days and then depending on what time we would be back for the cruise we would either drive straight home of stop at a hotel to sleep and then come home. So we would be gone for 6 or 7 days total.

I do not want to leave Kayelynn for an entire week, but my mom would take awesome care of her and I would survive.

Rain rain go away.

My yard is completely flooded. It's gross. I mean, it's better than snow, but it's still all nasty. The weather was amazing last week. I took Kayelynn to the park almost everyday, even if it was only for 10 minutes. I'm hoping the weather starts getting nice again. Kayelynn's birthday party is in 2 weeks and I would love to have it outside. My house just isn't big enough to have all the people that we invited over plus the kids running around playing. If it is raining or cold we'll make due, but I'm hoping it will be warm. Then we'll go ahead and borrow a folding table and we can celebrate outside!!! :)

I can't believe my baby girl is going to be a whole year old in 2 weeks! Insane! Here is an update on her. She pushes and walks with everything, toys, hampers, chairs, her highchair, everything. She says "Mama," "Dada," "Baba," "No no," "Yum" "Yay," and she tries to say "ball" and "Baby." She will come up to me and lay her head on me and then pat me. Then she'll give me a kiss. It's adorable! She will not leave her socks and shoes on. I've gotten to the point to where if she takes them off while we're out and about I leave them off and her feet can just be cold. I know that may sound harsh but we went to Wal-Mart last night and she took her shoes off at least 10 times.

She throws tantrums now too. We were in Walmart and of course the cart I had didn't have a strap to buckle her in. She kept trying to turn around and stand up, I would tell her no and face her the right way and put her on her but. She then proceeded to fling her body back and scream. All I could do was laugh. She has Paige's attitude.

Other than that I really don't have anything to post about. We went to my mom's house yesterday because my youngest little sister turned 2 on the 17th. That was fun. After that we went to Ruby Tuesday's (YUMMM.) Then we went shopping and came home and invited some friends over. I also go my hair cut!! Yikes. The last time I got it cut was when Kayelynn was around 1 month old... So that was about 11 months ago!

Oh and, I want another baby. I feel insane. Lol. Especially since when we do have another baby it will be Brian's 4th (OMG) But at the same time I have always said I wanted to have my kids young so that by the time they graduate I will be young enough to still enjoy life, plus I will be young enough to do things with them. I also don't want to be punished just because Brian has Seth and Paige. I want more than just Kayelynn.

Also, Brian and I have moved our wedding date up to September 10th, 2011. (9-10-11, pretty cool, right?!) That's all for now I guess.
My new hair cut. I'm pretty sure Kayelynn was crying because she ate all of her cake. Lol. She loooves cake.

Update on everything.

Valentines Day was alright. Brian had to work. So I cleaned. Then he came home with Carnations and cupcakes(Eeeeks)!!! He also got me the cutest card ever. I made chicken and dumplings for dinner, then we watched a movie. It was a pretty good day.

We took Kayelynn to the park on Sunday. It was finally in the 50's so everyone and there mother was there. So me and my friend Heather (who is due on August 30th!) walked on the trail thing while Brian played basketball.

Copy Cat.

So for the first half of this post I am going to copy some of the other posts I have seen people doing here lately. I am going to post some pictures of myself from when I was a teen.

When I was 14 I met and dated Brian. Yes, the same Brian that I am engaged to now. We dated for 5 whole months and then broke up. :( When I was 15 I met and dated a guy named Nate. Our relationship kind of sucked. I was 15 and thought I was in love. He treated me like shit a lot of the time and I put up with it. We dated until I was 17 going on 18. I finally wised up and decided enough was enough and I left him. When I was 18 I ran into Brian and after talking for a little while we exchanged numbers. Long story short a month later we started dating again. He moved in with me, he had no where else to go. He had lived with his ex girlfriend (Seth and Paige's mom) and when they broke up that left him with no where else to go. So he shared a bedroom with me at my mom's.. Along with Seth and Paige. At this time Brian had Seth and Paige for weeks at a time. Which left me to watch them non stop because he worked from 7am to 6pm. He moved into my mom's in March and we got our own place in July. The rest is History. Lol.

So yea, that's me from 15 to 17. :( Make me sad to look at those. I was going through my photobucket and I was so sad to see how skinny I used to be. Lol. I was 102 pounds and thought I was so fat. Look ing back I realize how stupid I was.

Teen Mom 2.

I know I did this last season for the Teen Mom 2 girls, so since I have nothing else to blog about, I am going to throw my opinions of the Teen Mom 2 girls out there.

Kail- I feel bad for her. It would suck to have no one else to turn to and be literally forced to live with your ex-boyfriend and his parents. I think she is doing a good job being a mother, working, and going to school so she can get a good education and eventually get a better job to support her child. That said I think if Kail wants to have a freaking boyfriend, she should be able to have a freaking boyfriend. I understand she is living with Jo and all that.... But really. They should not dictate her life. It's not like she's inviting him over to their house or anything. Plus, Jo is a freaking ass hole to her. Although I don't really agree that someone who has a young child needs to be dating, I do think that Kail isn't being immature or anything like that. Kail wasn't going out looking for a boyfriend, she just so happened to meet a nice guy.

Ahhh. Jenelle. She makes me want to hit a bitch forreals. I hate everything about her. From the way her face looks to the way she treats her mom and child. I think it is so funny how in 16 & Pregnant she went on and on with her friends about how she was going to be a good mom. She wasn't going to leave Jace with her mom so she could go and party. She would stay home and watch a movie with the baby. HA.HA.HA. If I was Jenelle's mom, I would have kicked her out a longgg time ago. I see all these people saying that Jenelle's mom is a bitch and her mom is abusive. If my 16 year old daughter was going and getting high, had a baby, left me to care for it, was never home, and talked to me the way Jenelle talks to her mom... I can guarantee my daughter would be in Juvenile somewhere while I had full custody of the child. Enough is enough. I am SO tired of seeing teens getting pregnant and then pawning their children off with the excuse that they are teenagers and they deserve to act that way... YOU GAVE UP THOSE RIGHTS WHEN YOU HAD A BABY!

Chelsae. I used to like her.. But after watching the past few episodes I have grown to dislike her. She is starting to show how immature she is. I can't believe 1st of all how her father pays for everything. Every bill, for food, for diapers for the baby, everything. All that and she still goes behind her back and lets her abusive ex boyfriend live with her. LIKE REALLY. I hate when people try to make things work for the kids. If it's not working then staying only for the kids and trying to make it work for them is going to fix nothing. It is just going to make the lives of your children suck. Like seriously. Especially when the guy texts you and tells you you are a horrible mother for going to a football game one time and then says your child is a mistake... I don't think so. That is one relationship that is not Healthy. I have come to believe that Chelsae is still a naive child that drools and cries over Adam and he just stays because he knows that she is basically his little puppet. I hope Adam has changed, for Aubree's sake, but I just highly doubt it.

Leah. My favorite this season! I want to start off by saying if I was in her shoes, I probably would have done the exact same thing. She was with Corey for less than a month when she got pregnant. I'm going to say it again, I do not agree with people MAKING it work for the kids. I think everything happens for a reason and I think it was a good thing that Corey and Leah split up and had time to realize that they did love each other. It was just a plus that they had 2 kids together. I think Leah is a great mommy.

I keep seeing a ton of young girls getting pregnant. It breaks my heart, seriously. Not for those teen girls, but for their children. Lets face it, most of them probably don't have the support of the baby's father. Most of them probably don't have jobs.

I'm not going to lie, having Kayelynn was a breeze. Aside from not having a life outside of being a mom, it's a piece of cake. I had 5 younger siblings and baby sat from the time I was 11. I knew how to take care of a baby. So even after I had her I knew how to manage my time to where I would actually be bored. I would be caught up on house work, caught up on sleep, be showered and still have nothing to do. I see all these young girls who have babies and they cry and complain because it's so hard and for me it just wasn't. It's super easy. Even when Kayelynn was first born and I was home alone with her and Paige who was still 1 and Seth who was 3.. It was easy. I also know that for most teen mom's it doesn't work out like that. I was lucky enough to have the support of my amazing fiancee. Not every one is that lucky.

Parks. (Picture overload)

So yesterday we went and picked Seth and Paige up. It was in the 40's so we decided to stop by the park for a few minutes and let them play. We stayed for about 6 minutes and then came home. It was cold. Lol. I did get some cute pictures though.

I'm taking Paige to see Tangled later on today... Anyone seen it yet?

20 part 2.

I def. don't feel any older. Lol. I feel like my age is sneaking up on me. I seems like I just turned 16. Now all the sudden I'm 20 with a baby and 2 step kids. Yikes. I really want to post some pictures I took yesterday, I hope my camera cooperates with me.

So yesterday Brian and I went to my mom's in Kentucky. She watched Kayelynn while Brian and I went to the mall and then to see a movie. O.M.G. Their mall is so much better than ours!! It has a HUGE play place. Our mall's play place is super small and has patches of duct tape holding some of it together. Their mall is 2 floors and is just amazing. Our stupid little mall is 3/4 of a mile if you start and walk all the way around to the same spot. DUMB.

So anyway we walked around and I saw a Build-A-Bear workshop. If there is anyone who has not been there that would be a great place to take a little girl for a birthday present or even just a because present. I made Kayelynn a bear for her birthday. The stuffed it right there. I picked out a sound thing that says "I love you" to go in its hand. Then I picked out clothes. I got it a happy birthday shirt, a cute pink skirt, and some Twinkle Toes Sketchers shoes. I also got a happy birthday cupcake for it to hold. They have a million different outfits to chose from!! Then we sat at the computers and made the birth certificate. It cost $38, but I don't think that's bad at all for all the stuff I picked out. The bear was only $15, the sound was $4, the shoes were $8, the shirt was $5, the skirt was $6, and the cup cake was $4... I also bought a $10 gift card for $5 and they let me use it then so I saved $5.  We're going to take Paige there on her birthday and let her pick out her own. :)

We went and saw The Dilemma... Hilarious!

Loving on her baby..

By the time I could snap another picture the baby was throw onto the car floor.

Freezing.

I am so tired of the cold! I went shopping today to go get some summer clothes for Seth and Paige and it was raining. The rain was so cold! It was such a hassle to get Kayelynn out of the car and then put her back in while the rain was pounding down on my back freezing me to death. Plus I had to worry about trying to keep Kayelynn's hood on and keep the blanket over her body so the rain wouldn't get her coat soaking wet. I am SO OVER WINTER.

Anyway, I got Kayelynn's birthday present shopping done. I know her birthday isn't for another month but I am the type of person who has my Christmas shopping done and wrapped by Halloween. I like to do it when we have extra money just in case something comes up.

I took Kayelynn over to Heather's to watch Teen Mom 2... I was hoping that she would just go right to sleep... Boy was I wrong. She was wide awake bouncing around. Hopefully she sleeps in late. This is the first time she has stayed up past 8 in weeks. She's been going to bed at 7:30 here lately. Weird child. :)

We got the okay from our landlords that we can break our lease. I am so happy! I was so scared that they were going to sue us or something. I am going to be so happy to move and OWN our house, we're going to live 10 minutes away from Seth and  Paige, we wont have to worry about running out of water, out electric bill wont be over $450 due to cold air from outside somehow getting in. The only bad thing is that we're going to be far away from all of my family. :(
