Doctors.

So, I have suspected for a while now that Aaralyn has a tongue tie. She has a horrible and very painful latch. So, we use a shield. Even then, it takes her an hour to eat every time.

Kayelynn has a tiny case of a lazy eye when she is focusing on things close up - for example, when I take her picture.

So, I asked Aaralyn's doctor about a possible tongue tie. He couldn't tell so we got reffered to an ENT.

Asked Kayelynn's doctor about her eyes (Every place I called said that her eyes should have been checked at her well child visit and no one took kids until 11.) Her doctor dismissed my worries and told me that if she had a lazy eye we would have noticed it by now. Bullshit.

So, I made them both appointments for today. Aaralyn's was at 9 AM and Kayelynn's was at 1:30 PM. So, we had to wait around and find something to do for the 4 hours in-between. Not fun.

Anyway, Aaralyn did indeed have a tongue tie. They clipped it. I can already tell a difference in her latch and the time it takes her to eat. We still used the shield though today because I was scared that her tongue hurt and it's easier to eat with the shield. We'll be nursing with out it tomorrow.

Kayelynn ended up needing glasses. I want to punch her doctor in the face. Good thing I didn't listen to him and I followed my gut. She got them today. I let her pick them out.
^It's a horrible picture. Lol. The kids were playing hard at my mom's and see that scrape on her head?? She was trying to skateboard while I was gone picking up her glasses and her forehead meat the sidewalk. :(

Right now the glasses are hurting her nose though because she's not used to them... But she's going to have to suck it up. Lol. I need to take them in and get them adjusted next week I guess. I'm also going to order a cheap extra pair just in case.

Other than that Aaralyn is 4 months old now. I'll have to do a post with stats and everything by Monday - hopefully.
