So SICK of it.

I am so sick and tired of people making negative comments to me about my views on car seats.

For example: I shared a picture that someone had posted. I know some of you saw it. It said "I want to ride forward facing in my car seat so I can see better" - Said no baby ever. - And someone had to say something about only I would put that and I was so funny.

I do not post statuses and try to educate people on proper car seat usage to be funny. I do it to try to make them aware and to possible save that child's life. It really pisses me off. I am so tired of being referred to as a 'car  seat Nazi.' It's not like I am advocating for breast feeding or home schooling. Those things are purely ones choice. With those things your child will most likely be fine either way you go. Car seat usage is not the same. There is a right way and there is a wrong way. By CHOOSING to ignore the facts and CHOOSING to not educate yourself you are endangering your child's life! You are taking unjustified chances. Why not spend an hour doing car seat research, reading your car seat manual, and making sure you know what is safe for your child? There is no excuse to be taking chances with your child life.

It pisses me off to no end that people will spend more time making sure their TV's are hooked up correctly than they do making sure their kids are safe.

  1. Too many people have the mentality that they survived so their kids will too. Unfortunately, it takes their child getting injured or dying before they realize they were wrong, and even then, they want to blame it on something else.
There really is no excuse. It seems like some people really just don't care about their children's safety :(

  2. Agreed! I hate when people put their babies in boosters just because it makes them a "big girl" or "big boy." When Sam was only 3 months and we got in a car wreck and the car flipped upside down, I am so glad she was restrained properly! Ever since then, I always put her in her seat as if the same thing is going to happen again. I did see that sign those. I took it off Christina's FB and shared it.

  3. I saw the same little picture on Christina's and liked it! I really don't know why people choose to ignore the facts it may just be that they want to do it the way things have always been done. But don't let them get you down for doing what is RIGHT for you child. They may just be putting you down, because they know they should be doing it, but they don't and want to make light of it.
