| My brother took this picture with snapchat. Lol. Brian's is the red car. |
A few days before Christmas Brian was heading to the gym that is a few minutes from our house. It is literally a 2 minute drive, if that.
He was heading straight through the intersection and another car was coming toward him on the opposite side of the intersection. The other car was turning left, which meant they were supposed to yield to any oncoming traffic - only they didn't yield. They hit Brian almost head on.
There was a cop sitting at the red light who, thankfully, witnessed the entire thing. Brian called me less than 30 seconds after the accident happened. Right then I called his friend who was at the gym waiting and asked him to please go make sure Brian was okay while I got myself and Rowan ready, and waited on my brother to come watch the girls.
Brian went to the hospital in the ambulance and I met him there. I arrived at the same time he did.
Ho knees were all messed up, and so were his hands. He was shaking so bad. He had bruises his back where he hit his seat after bouncing off the air bag. We had to go back to the hospital a few days after the accident because Brian blacked out. The ER said it was post-concussion syndrome. He also has a tilted vertebrae in his neck that he has to see a chiropractor 2x a week for.
It took hip almost two weeks to be able to walk well again. We have a two story house with our bedroom on the second floor. He could not climb the steps so we brought a mattress into the living room for him to sleep on.
It was a tough two weeks. He only got up to pee and take a bath. That left me to do everything else. Taking care of a 7 week old, a 18 month old, 4 year old, 6 year old, and 8 year old alone 24/7. Add on the house work, cooking, grocery shopping, and also wrapping Christmas presents. It was rough.
Brian's car is destroyed. Absolutely totaled. :(

Oh my. That is very scary! You are very blessed that he walked out with only the injuries he did! I hope that things begin to get better. And that the insurance pays out quick and covers everything.
