50th post!!

I feel like I should have way more posts, especially since it's been about a year since I started my blog... That's like not even one post a week. Boo to me. I'm trying to get better at it.

So last night I woke up to the worst lightning EVER. It was flashing every 5 seconds and was super bright. It woke me up. :( I hate storms. They scare me to death. Okay, bad storms scare me to death. If it's just a little thunderstorm or whatever I'm fine. But when you add in the 60 mph winds, the hail, lightning, and huge thunder from last night I was scared to death! The sirens were going off (At this point it was around 5am) So I called my mom because we don't have cable and our internet was out due to the storm. (My mom is scared of storms too, that's where I get it from so she was awake keeping an eye on it.) The whole Tri-State area was under a tornado watch plus we had a sever thunderstorm warning and that's why the sirens were going off.

That makes me so angry. No ones going to know if there's really a tornado. So any way I looked outside and there was a huge tree branch down like touching my house, plus littler tree branches everywhere. So, I made the kids a bed on my floor and set up the Pack n' play for Kayelynn and brought them downstairs to sleep. Just in case 1) A tree fell on our house and landed on them and 2) In case there really was a tornado. That way I wouldn't have to run upstairs to get 3 kids.

After I brought them downstairs Kayelynn thought it was play time. So I was up with her until 6:30. By then the storm had quieted down a lot so I put her back upstairs in her bed and she went right to sleep. (I love love love that she sleeps so good in her crib, but it kind of stinks because that is the only place she will drink her cup. And I hate that. I don't like putting her to bed with her cup but I want her to drink her formula too. BUT as soon as this last can of formula is gone we are going to be switching her to milk full time and she will be going to bed without her cup! Yay.)

Seth and Paige are still asleep on my floor.... It's 11:15. Kayelynn is in the kitchen throwing her fruit loops on the floor. Sigh.

  1. I am so terrified of storms. I think they are calming an pretty, but I am so scared that something bad is going to happen. You know, like a tornado! And I hate when Jessie has to drive to and from work in them.

  2. I HATE storms. Ugh!!! We have bad storms like that during tornado season and then get some pretty heavy ones during hurricane season. Ive seen tornadoes...they love all the cotton fields. Not fun. Our sirens would go off like crazy too.
Anyways...is she on regular formula or a special kind???
My 2 oldest (the almost 2 year old and 3 year old both go to bed with their cups. Kaedyn had to have milk before he falls asleep theb he hands it over. Charleigh doesnt drink out of it really just has to have it because brother does. She usually just throws it.HAHA!!)

  3. She's on Isomil Advance. Seth and Paige used to have a huge problem with cups. When Paige was around 18 months she would wake up 2-3 times a night for more juice in her cup, finally I said no more cups at bed time and then she started sleeping through the night. Then though her mom was still giving her a cup to bed so when they would come back from their mom's we would have to break her of the habit again because she would scream and cry for her cup. It was terrible.

  4. Thats soy right??? That is what my son was on. We had to keep buying him formula and half and half it until his stomach could handle milk.
My babies dont get up for any juice or milk. Kaedyn just has one cup and thats it and Charleigh usually just throws hers.

  5. (My title is supposed to say 50th post, by the way.)

I lied. I don't know what I was thinking. She's on regular Similac Advanced. She used to be on the isomil, but they changes the ingredients in it a few months back and she actually started throwing up from it, so we had to switch her to regular Advanced.
