The day Brian lost his job at the bank he got another one. He started work the very next day. He has been working his ass off. We still had 100 dollars in our bank account, plus Brian's very last check from the bank was going to be direct deposited. Well, the bank closed our account without us knowing. So, we had NO MONEY. We didn't know they were closing our account, if we had known we would have gotten out 100 dollars out so we had something to live on. Anyway they mailed us a check and we didn't get it until yesterday.
They addressed the check to both me and Brian, therefore I couldn't cash it because Brian wasn't with me. (Even though he had already signed it.) Keep in mind that on the normal night, the earliest Brian gets home is 6. Sometimes he doesn't even get home until 9! Anyway, I haven't been able to cash the check because Brian and I both have to be there.. And he doesn't get off work early enough to go with me.
Basically, we live in my grandma's house. It's in her name. The morgage comes out of her account. We put the "rent" money into her account each month and then the bank takes it out to pay the house payment. So, since we haven't been able to get the check cashed, we haven't been able to pay the rent. I called her and told her... The check thing plus that fact that I HAVE NO CAR pretty much means I can't pay it until tomorrow. Yea, she got all pissy and was like "Why couldn't Brian have taken care of this yesterday." I was like "Because Brian busts his ass working until 9PM each night so we can even have the money to pay it." Once again keep in mind Brian just lost his job.. Normally people give you a break for that kind of thing happening. For all she knows my kid can't even eat and she's only worried about the rent. (For the record we have food. I was just sayin')
So I'm pretty much just annoyed at life right now. Brian's grandpa is going to go get me a new battery and then I have to go run around to 2 different banks (One that is 20 minutes away. Then to the other that is 45 minutes away from that.) I am seriously looking for a place to move to. I am not staying here.
*I'm not saying she should pay our rent for us... I'm just saying that it would be nice to get an extra day.... And her rich freaking boyfriend she lives with should be able to lend her 700 dollars for one day.
Rant over. Lets see what else this day has in store for me.

I'm sorry, girl. That is pretty crappy. They should give you a break every once in awhile, especially for something like that. I hope it all works out. :/
ReplyDeleteThat's messed up. It's not like you don't have the money and isn't going to pay the rent. It is literally in your hand just not cashed yet.
