Rainbow Dash.

So, Brian and I went to Wal-Mart to get a few things. We have a birthday party to go to on Sunday for my BFF's son, so we had to pick out a gift. As we're leaving the toy isle Kayelynn starts jumping up and down with excitement. She had found a Rainbow Dash pony. (From My Little Pony.) She already has Pinkie Pie, but she LOVES Rainbow Dash. She knew exactly who it was. It was cute. So, we had to buy it. She went to bed with it. Lol. She even made me kiss it goodnight.

She is addicted to "Meet the Colors." It's from Preschool Prep Company. It's really annoying to me - But all 3 kids LOVE it. Kayelynn watches it every night when she goes to bed. It basically has all the colors and for five minutes straight it will show red in a thousand different shades. And it will have a little red poofy guy who is farming. And is says 'Red' over and over a million times for 5 minutes. Then it's on to the next color. Lol. I like that it's educational... I just think it's annoying.

So, some stats on Kayelynn.

She is 23 pounds now!
She is 35 inches long and has a torso length of 12 inches.
She wears a size 6/7 shoe... It depends on the brand.
She wears a size 4 diaper finally.
She wears 2T clothes... But some 3T also fit.. Which is weird since she is so tiny.
She is obsessed with singing her ABC's and The Lion King songs.
She loves princesses and can name them all.
She knows circle, triangle, star, heart. We're working on the rest.
She knows most colors.
She can recognize W,A,B,D.
Her favorite word is constitution. She says it all the time.
She talks A LOT now. It never stops. She surprises us all the time.
She likes to be independent. She likes to dress herself, undress herself, brush her own teeth. All that stuff. So, it turns into a little fight sometimes when I have to help. No way am I letting my 2 year old brush her own teeth completely alone. Lol. I need to make her a dentist appointment... I keep forgetting. Lol. She's going to flip out. She hates doctors so I know it will be hard to get her to stay still so someone can poke around in her mouth. She doesn't need to go, but I'd like her to.
She is a really good helper. She cleans up her messes. She says please, thank you, and you're welcome. When she's done eating she rakes her plate into the garbage and then puts it into the sink.

Okay, I'm done bragging now. Lol.
Kayelynn and her Rainbow Dash
Oh, and I have to add a funny story.
Brian and I are always talking about car seat safety now. He actually points things out to me when he sees someone doing something wrong. Well, we were on the subject of people claiming their kids have cramped legs at 12 months old. I was telling him how most kids will prop their legs onto the back of the drives seat or whatever because it hurts for them to just hang. I was like "Think about it. Even now at 21 I can't just let my legs hang off the couch. I'm too short for them to touch the ground and if they just hang they fall asleep and start hurting. So, I always sit Indian style." Well, a couple days after this conversation we were going somewhere and we had the Paige with us. I looked back at her and she had her leg in this weird position. It was bent backwards and her foot was by her butt.
Like that ^ Only she was in her carseat so it looked even more uncomfortable. I asked her why she was sitting with her feet bent all weird and she replied "It hurts when my legs hang down."

I looked at Brian and said "Just sayin'."

  1. Awe. That is sweet, about the pony.

Can't believe she is getting so big. :) When will she be turning 3?

Cute story. Love the way she is sitting.

  2. Haha, I love when they find something they really love. It's so cute to see them interested in something.

I'm the same way. I'm so short, and I don't like when my legs hang off of things.
