Day One.

Today we got the idea of panties and potties in Kayelynn's head. She wore panties all day. She had 2 accidents.

Tomorrow we will start the official "potty training in 3 days."

Anyone who has never heard of this before... Basically you give the kids normal breakfast and diner, but feed them lots of salty snacks in between. Crackers, pretzels, chips, things that will make them thirsty. The more they drink, the more they will have to go pee and the more chance to show them how to pee on the potty.

Kayelynn isn't a huge drinker though, so I have to figure out how to get her to drink a ton.

I guess today was really warm up day, and tomorrow will be day one.

I'm going to go re read what I read about it before and I'm going to print it off.

I'm also going to try to look into more ways to "bribe" and encourage. I'll share if I find something good!

  1. I hope it works well for you guys! We tried it, but it didn't work. It only works if the kid will tell you when they have to go. Grace wouldn't tell me every time. I would take her to the potty like every 30 minutes, and she wouldn't go, but then 5 minutes later she would pee on herself. Ugg. We are just kind of taking it slow now.

  2. Kayelynn tells me most of the time. And she'll randomly just go sit on her potty and pee. She's ready. She tries changing her own diaper if she pees and poops. Lol. It ends up making way more messes than is necessary.
