My child.

Kayelynn and my dad.

Getting into stuff.

She loves that hat.

Up to no good.

My child is a total mommy's girl. She wants nothing to do with any other person, even Brian. It doesn't matter who that person is. My mom, my dad, my brothers. NO ONE. It's quite hilarious but at the same time... annoying. When Brian gets home from work and I try to give her to him she screams and throws a fit. If we go anywhere and someone looks at her or lord forbid tries talking to her she has a meltdown. I have to hold her anytime we go to someones house because she freaks out. I'm hoping she grows out of this soon.

Not only is she having a severe attachment to my hip, she is also hating bed/nap time. She does okay to bed most of the time... But nap time is a whole different story. She will get out of bed and lay in front of her door where she'll eventually fall asleep. Whenever I check on her I have to lay on the floor and peek under her door to insure that I don't hit her with it.

And, there's really nothing I can do to break that habit... She's in a toddler bed so I can't really make it to where she can't get out of bed... And going in her room every 2 seconds and putting her back and bed does nothing either. If anything it gets her more wound up because she thinks I'm going in the room to let her out. Ahh I'm stuck. Hopefully she'll grow out of this too.

Another thing she does is throw her food on the ground when she's finished. I know this isn't a life endangering ordeal... But it is annoying. Whenever she is done with her food she throws plate and all onto the floor. I have tried telling her no before she does it, while she's doing it, and also after it's done. I've stopped her and told her it was bad. I have also given her a smack on the hand. She continues to do it.

Some more on Kayelynn while we're talking about her...

  • She says bye now, along with waving. Ah-dorable.
  • She loves baths. She especially loves dumping water on the bathroom floor.
  • She is mean!
  • She loves Paige's Baby Alive. It's the one that comes with bananas and a cup. You have to feed it and it talks and stuff. She knows how to use a spoon, bottle, or her finger and get her to talk. It's so cute.
  • She pushes everything around in her doll baby stroller. Babies, blankets, her sippy cup, underwear. Lol.
  • Has no interest in TV what-so-ever. I have this Meet The Colors DVD that teaches kids their colors (if you couldn't tell by the name.) Seth and Paige love it. Not Kayelynn.
  • The kids loves chocolate milk.
  • She hates water. So I make one packet of Kool Aid... With twice the amount of water you're supposed to use. It's basically REALLY watered down Kool Aid... It's what all the kids drink. No pop for these kiddos.
  • She knows how to take her clothes off... It's only a matter of time until the diaper comes off too. Joy.
  • The other day I was changing her diaper and I forgot the new diaper so I went to get it. When I told her to lie down so I could put her diaper on she grabbed the diaper, said "no", proceeded to bite the diaper, and went and sat on her potty... She didn't go but hey, it's a start.
  • She hates my brother, Colten. He's 11. He can't even look at her because she screams.
  • Whenever you hold her, she pats your back. Too cute.
  • She will wipe her nose if you tell her to.
  • She HATES having her hair done. :(
  • She likes to put things in the toilet. And let me tell you, keeping the bathroom door closed with a 3 and 4 year old in the house constantly peeing is hard.
  • She also likes to put things in the trash.... Spoons, toys, my flip flops.
That's pretty much all I can think of. It's 12:14 AM... I should be in bed... Internet has royally screwed up my sleeping habits.

  1. Ha. Ya. My girl was like that. She has always been a Mommy's girl-still is. But she has gotten better, and now she will go to Daddy sometimes. And she naps and sleeps in our bed for the night now. I don't mind it. One day she will outgrow it. She doesn't want to be sleeping in our bed at age 12! I am enjoying it while I can. Not sure what to tell you about the food. That is one thing that annoys me to no end so I put a stop to that quick just by giving Samantha that...look. lol.
