Is not a baby anymore. She is turning into a "big kid." Talking, having semi-conversations, feeding her baby dolls and talking to them like she is really their Mommy. That tiny little baby above is the same little girl who is watching her Meet the Colors DVD and repeating all of the colors. The big girl who is going to be 2 in 2 months. The same little girl who has been using the POTTY since yesterday morning.
As soon as she woke up yesterday morning she started taking her diaper off. Right away I put her on the potty. She peed a tiny bit and I put underwear on her. Later she was still dry so I sat her on her potty and placed it in front of her Tinker Bell table. I set up the portable DVD player and gave her her lunch while she was still on the potty. When she was done eating I checked the potty and she PEED and POOPED!!! We dumped it into the big potty, did the potty dance, and I let her flush. She peed in the potty 2 more times. She didn't have any accidents all day, EVEN DURING HER 2 HOUR NAP! She woke up and her pull up was still dry. She went to bed at 8. Woke up at 9. It's now 11:15 and she has peed on the potty once and still hasn't had an accident.
I am so beyond excited. Ahhh! She just peed again. She already has 435728976 pairs of underwear... But I'm thinking she deserves some more!

It's bittersweet, isn't it? I really enjoyed Samantha getting older. She gets more and more fun, but I still miss having a little baby.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the potty training! Sounds like it is coming along real well!
Awww!! I love her little baby hair. At lease she had some my babies were bald...except Ely but hers thinned out.
ReplyDeleteThey do grow super fast. Sometimes I look at Ellanoa and then at Kaedyn and think,"man just yesterday he was as small as she is."
Yay!!! For potty training. I wish my almost 3 year old would catch on. She has been IMPOSSIBLE!!!
