So, little miss Kayelynn has a fever of 103. I hate it when she has a fever. Brian's little brother used to have seizures when he would get a fever and I always get paranoid. She randomly sprouted a fever. She's been running around, eating and drinking fine, and has been acting pretty much normal. I didn't even know she had a fever until Brian gave her a kiss when he got home and said she felt warm. It came on within an hour of her getting up from her nap.
That's the most exciting thing around here today. I stayed up until 4 in the morning doing laundry last night. I ended up finishing up all the laundry today. It took all day. Lol. There was a lot. We've been going swimming everyday after Brian gets home so I had so many towels to wash!
I'm so excited!! Next weekend my uncle is coming in from New Orleans!! He's lived there for about 3 or 4 years now so we really only get to see him once sometimes twice a year. He's only seen Kayelynn 2 or 3 times!!
Anyway, that's it for now. Just wanted to update really fast.
**Sooo, I put Kayelynn to bed at 9PM. At 11:30ish I heard her start crying so I went to check on her. As soon as I opened the door she started saying she fell. Sure enough she had fallen out of bed. She had also thrown up... And landed in it. I got her cleaned up and took her temperature. It was 104.... Cue me freaking out. I gave her some Tylenol and called my mom for some advice. I got a bag packed with pull ups, clothes, her pretty cat, puppy, and some other stuff. I took her temperature again and it was down to 102.5. So I decided to put off going to the ER since her fever was responding to the Tylenol. She's still up now. It's a quarter til 1. I guess we're sleeping on the couch tonight and I'm going to set my alarm for every 30-60 minutes so I can take her temp and give her meds. And first thing in the morning I'm going to go get some more meds. All I have is enough Tylenol to get us through the night. No Ibuprofen. :( That makes me mad because I'm normally stocked up on all kids medicine. Gr.

Poor Baby. :/ Sam just got over a fever like that too, only she never got sick. It was weird. She just had a fever and was tired. For 3 days it stayed around 103...so weird. I hope she gets better soon!

Little Ellanoa just got over a fever like that too. It lasted 3 dys and went up to 104 every night. We switched between Tylenol and inbrofren very couple hours. We went through 2 bottles! She never threw up thank God! But like Kayelynn it just came on about an hour after she got up drew kissed her when he got home and said she felt warm sure enough she had a fever. It was a horrible 3 days:( my poor baby was so sick.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like all of them had what Brentley had... that roseola infantum. They literally call it the three day fever. He never threw up or anything either. He did break out in a crazy rash when they fever broke though. Hope Kayelynn feels better soon!
