I hate the cold! I hate worrying that Kayelynn is freezing. Last month our electric bill was crazy expensive, and I refuse to get another one like it. So, because of that, we aren't putting out heat above 70. I know for some people, 70 is still high, but my house is stupid. Even with plastic over all the windows, we still get cold air coming in from places... only we don't know where it's coming in from. The upstairs is so warm, so I try to get the kids to play up there for as long as I can and then when they're down stairs we all where jackets and even blankets if we're still cold. I can not wait until the weather starts warming up.... (And in the short amount of time it took me to write this I turn around to check on Kayelynn and she has already pulled her socks off. Here I am writing about how I'm scared she's going to freeze and she's taking her socks off.... AGAIN!)
That is a whole different story... She will not leave her socks on... That is one thing I hate! She will not leave socks or shoes on her feet, unless the shoes tie.. Then she can't get them off. I remember Seth and Paige going through this and I had to break them of the habit fast... Nothing like being in a hurry to get somewhere and then finally get where you're going... and having to stop to put shoes back on every kid. And, at least with Seth and Paige it was in the summer. It is way to cold outside to stand there with the door open as you try to find 2 socks and 2 shoes.... plus put them on! So... any ideas how to break her of this habit? With Seth and Paige it was easy because whenever we would hear velcro being torn we would tell them to leave their shoes on, plus Seth was 2 and a half so he knew what no meant. And he would help make sure Paige's shoes stayed on... But there is no one in the back Seat with Kayelynn, and she sneaks and we can't even hear the velcro coming undone!
:WARNING: This is a T.M.I story. Read at your own risk:
I have been feeling like total and complete crap lately.I started my period on the 3rd and everything was normal. Then on my second day it just stopped.. No more period. On the third day it came back but it was way lighter than normal. Then from the fourth day on it was just... barely there. Enough to have to wear a pad, but very light. On top of that I feel like throwing up, all day every day. It has been 6 days today and I'm pretty sure it's gone for good. I'm scared I have fibroids (spelling?) like my mom, which will completely suck!!
Update on Kayelynn. My baby is officially 10 months old! :( She is going to be 1 in less than 2 months!! Where has the time gone?!?!?! She has started to push her activity table and walk with it. Crazy girl doesn't walk with her 12 toys that she's supposed to walk with, she walks with a table. Lol. She says Mama, Dada, Baba, Ball, she claps and says yay, and she tries to say dog and baby. She now has only 3 bottles of formula... Only not bottles, in cups. :) She hasn't had a bottle since she was 8 months old! She also eats 5 or 6 jars of baby food a day and some of whatever we're having. She likes everything! Pancakes, crackers, 3 ways, hamburger helper, you name it she eats it.
I feel like I have been writing for forever. I guess it's time to take a shower, give Kayelynn a bath, and then go and get Seth and Paige. Fun fun.

Grace is in the taking her shoes off stage too. I just recommend the things you said basically.. shoes that tie and velcro so you can hear it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, not to freak you out, but you should take a pregnancy test.. the things you are describing sound a lot like possible symptoms of pregnancy..
I've been thinking about it. That's just what I need. Lol. But this is kinda what happened with Kayelynn. We never actually figured out when I got pregnant because I had a weird half period thing before I actually missed one.
ReplyDeleteWe are freezing right now. Our daughter has been sleeping in our bed every night, whereas before it was just weekends. We are all working to keep warm. Can't afford an electric bill over 100 so we keep it between 65 and 68 . I used to love the cold, now I don't know why I did. Lol
ReplyDeleteOur last electric bill was over 300 dollars! We def. Can't afford that. I can not handle this 14 degree weather. If it doesn't start warming up I might just cry. :( lol. I know as soon as it gets hot though I'm going to wish it were cold again.
