Up hers.

So. I just want to say that when I was explaining about what I said to H in my last post, I in no way what so ever have a problem with people who are on food assistance and help from the government. I just do not like when people say I'm a bad person for struggling for one month to pay the bills when the only reason they have extra money is because they only pay $30 for rent and don't have to buy food.

Brian and I were on food stamps last year during the winter when he was laid off, but we no longer are. I reread it and it kinda sounded like I was hating on all people who have help from the government but I def. was not!

Second I feel the need to defend my self from what H, V, and my so called father said about me. I do stay home with my daughter, Seth, and Paige... I also love every minute of it. If I were to get a job we would have to pay for 3 kids to go to day care, because even if a child only goes half the time you still have to pay full time for them (Like Seth and Paige who would only be going on some days and not all like Kayelynn) That is like 200 -300 dollars.... PER KID, yea it would actually cost more than I would be making for me to work. Not only that during the summer Brian does asphalt maintenance and owns his own business. So from about March to November he is making an average of 1000 dollars a week. Last year we did not invest in saving money like we should have and yes, we have struggled a little this winter. BUT, all the kids are clean, happy, and healthy. My bills are paid and we have food. Also, Brian has been working all winter plowing snow and just got hired on at the painters union (HE STARTS TOMORROW YAY!)

Everything in our house, we bought. Not that it is bad to have 2nd hand things, because we did, but we saved money and bought our own. Most of Kayelynn's baby clothes came from my little sisters (Who are now 4 and 2) The only things we had to buy new were her crib, pack n play, her highchair, her bottles, and her convertible car seat. Other than that she got clothes, her pumpkin seat, swing, jumpy thingy, and mass other stuff from my little sister's. So, I'm def. not hating on second hand things.

We are moving in a few months! I think i might have already posted about this but I'm going to post again. :) My Mammaw had a house built 10 years ago. She is getting ready to move in with her soon to be husband though and is letting us take over her house payments!! Yay us! So it's going to be half the price that it should be and it's an awesome house. It's 3 bedroom 2 baths. The master bedroom has a HUGETASTIC walk in closet and a MORE HUGETASTIC bathroom. The master bathroom has a huge garden type bath, a separate walk in shower thing and his and her sinks. I am just so excited. The house is out in the country, and it's only like 15 minutes away from where Seth and Paige's Mom lives so we will be able to take Seth to and from school everyday. (The school is 5 minutes away from our new house)

Okay, I'm done now. :)

  3. Oh, I love yard sales too! My worst down fall is Once upon a child though. Brian wont go there with me because he knows I'll spend forever in there. I can't help it. I got a huge bag of brand new books for like 4 dollars.

  4. Oh wow. I have never heard of that place. Is it just a used book store? We have one called McKays. I LOVE that place. My Mom and I go to yardsales every weekend from April until October. My husband quit tagging along because he knew that we would be out all day driving around, looking for more yardsales, and talking about who go the best deals. lol.

  5. Once Upon a Child is a used children store that has everything! Cribs, strollers, clothes, shoes, toys, books, movies. Everything. I love it. I got Kayelynn a super cute pair of baby Nike's that only cost 2 dollars. Amazing.
