1.5 more months!

I and a half more months until we move!! Yay! So the other day we went and looked at the house we're buying. Brian had never really paid attention to the yard so her wanted to look at it. Since we were driving all the way out there we loaded up the cars with all the boxes we could and took a load over to store in the closet that my Grandma had already cleared out. My uncle Shane still lives there with his girlfriend since my Grandma pretty much lives with her boyfriend now. The whole time we were there my uncle was making comments about stuff that was wrong with the house. Like "The electric bill was $700 dollars last month you guys can't afford that." And "Oh Seth, make sure you spill that grape juice on the carpets." Oh and "Yea you did you guys see all the ashes in the master bathroom all over the carpet in there, you guys will have to tear that out. That bathroom is disgusting."
1st off- My Grandma said that the electric bill was $500, not $700, and that was only because my uncle and his girlfriend were using space heaters 24/7 to heat the whole house - She was pissed.
2nd- Even if you are joking why would you encourage a 4 year old to ruin white carpet in the home that he is getting ready to move into?
3rd- We had just came out of the master bathroom, and the whole room was spotless and clean. My Grandma does smoke, but she does it outside. Also, she is a very clean person. I know that she wouldn't leave her house looking gross like he was claiming she did.

He was just saying stuff to try and make us not want to move in because him and his girlfriend want to rent it and he's mad that Brian and I are buying it. I don't understand why people, especially family, try to do that. He should be happy for us.

I am so happy about moving though. Reasons I am happy include:
1.) We will have a bathtub(2 bathtubs actually.), finally! The house we live in now has the worlds smallest bathroom which includes a shower... No bath. Our new house has a full bathroom by the kids room and then another full bathroom in the master bedroom that has a huge stand in shower and then a separate Garden bathtub.(It also has his and her sinks.) No more trying to give a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 12 month old showers!
2.) No more well water!! It is horrible to have to rely on whether or not it is going to rain to have water. And then if we run out and have to order water it cost $65 for what would normally cost a person with city water $10. I am looking forward to being able to do laundry and dishes non stop and not having to postpone due to fear of running out of water.
3.) A dish washer!! Yay! We had one in the townhouse we lived in before we moved here. I was spoiled by it. So I am really looking forward to having one again.
4.) No steps. Steps are scary with 3 young children.
5.) A huge backyard. Okay, we have a huge back yard here, our house sits on 5 acres. The new house only sits on 1, but still. Our new yard is a lot more private. Oh, and it has woods.
6.) Cabinets. Okay you know the cabinets above your stove? Well, my house has 3 of those tiny ones, 2 sets of regular ones, the ones under my sink, and then the worlds smallest cabinet next to the stove. My new house has like... 15 cabinets... Full size cabinets.. And a big pantry. And an island in the kitchen. I'm looking forward to having places to put my food and dishes and yay!
7.) The living room. The living room in our new house is about... 3 times the size of the on we have now.

See that stupid wanna be fire place thing?? Yea, that takes up a huge space in my living room. And right next to it, on the right, is another doorway. So, there is exactly one way that I can fit my TV, computer dest, couch, and loveseat into my living room. Not cool.
8.)A driveway. Where we live now, there is a gravel road that goes along the side of my house and then back to the landlord's house(Yea our land lords live right behind us). The gravel road is what we have to park on. I hate it.
9.)It's going to be ours. We can do whatever we want. If we want to paint we can. If we want to knock down walls we can. And the rent is $50 cheaper than what we're paying here, plus the electric will be cheaper since it's one story and it has a fireplace. Also, the water bill will be $90 every 3 months opposed to the $65 every 3 weeks that we have to pay here.
10.) Closets. Okay. Here Kayelynn's room doesn't have a closet in it. The closet is outside the room and down the hall. Seth and Paige's room has a closet. And then mine and Brian's room(Which is downstairs) doesn't have a closet. We have to use the downstairs hallway closet. The new house has big closets in both the kids rooms. And by big I mean you can put the dressers in there too if you wanted. The master bedroom has a HUGE walk-in closet. Seriously.. it's probably 15 to 20 feel long. Love.
Also, it's about 6 minutes away from Seth's school. (His school is 35 minutes from where we live now.) So we'll be able to take him and pick him up from school. We'll also live 15 minutes from Seth and Paige's mom. (We live about 45 minutes away now.) So that makes it way easier when it comes to picking them up and stuff.

I'm excited and I can't wait to move in. :)

  2. Sounds awesome! That sucks about the water at the place you are at now. =( Oh, and I know what you mean about family not being happy for you. It really sucks when they let jealousy get in the way of being happy for you.
